The desire of this ministry is to cultivate our students from the inside out, so that they will firmly walk in their faith (1 Cor. 16:13). As such, four areas of growth are focused on: internal growth (2 Tim. 3:16), peer fellowship (Rom. 1:12), church community (Psalms 145:4), and outreach (Matt. 20:28). This ministry seeks to aid students in growing their faith by building relationships with the Lord, each other, and the church body, with an emphasis put on serving both in the church and in the community.

Student Ministry – study

Internal Growth

A time focused on equipping and deepening our students' understanding of Biblical principles and the redeeming love of Christ (2 Tim. 3:16). While this time is spent among their peers and includes a time of worship, prayer, and study, it is focused on each student personally growing in their Christian walk.

Student Ministry - friendship

Peer Fellowship

Building relationships within the group itself, so that our students can walk out their faith, side by side (Rom. 1:12). During this time, students will enjoy various activities, such as hiking, swimming, a board game night, bowling, skating, or a movie night.

Student Ministry – community

Church Community

Seeking to build community within the WBF body of Christ (Psalms 145:4). Activities include enjoying an evening of fellowship and fun at a host congregants house or serving a congregant by assisting with things such as yard work, painting, or packing. Students are also encouraged to integrate into the church body through serving, with many of the students serving on the sound/worship team, Children's Ministry, or other community building events.

Student Ministry - friendship

Encouraging serving and being a beacon showing the love of Christ out in the community (Matt. 20:28). Our students serve the homeless by serving in our Family Shelter Ministry, share the Gospel and love of Christ by serving during Stories in the Park, visit local nursing homes, and do door-to-door outreach.
