About the Class:
Apollos is a 12 week course that utilizes a variety of
study aids and resources in demonstrating how to dig
deeper into the Scriptures. Using the WBF Statement of
Faith and selected passages from the Bible, students
will learn how to be "Bereans", discovering the truth of
the Word of God from their own commitment and study.
Assignments and exercises include research papers,
class discussions and presentations. The class is highly
interactive, informative and challenging.

Why Apollos?
Apollos is a course offered to men (in the Spring)
and women (in the Fall) who wish to discover the
truth of Scripture. The class is named after a New
Testament man of high intelligence who began
preaching before his understanding of the truth
was fully developed. In Acts 18:24-28 it is stated
that Apollos was open to being taught "the way of
God more accurately" by a couple, Priscilla and
Aquila. Apollos soon became one of the most
influential preachers of his time, and is mentioned
in I Corinthians as being on par with Paul. If you
desire to learn more about what you believe, and
more about Christ, this class is designed to get
you started.
